In the style of Big Bill Broonzy with Eric Noden

Big Bill Broonzy has had a huge influence on my guitar playing. He could play low down blues, upbeat hokum and more. His early guitar playing was quite virtuosic and involved some tricky fingerpicking.  In this workshop I will break down the classic driving thumb technique that is the foundation of Broonzy’s approach.  First I’ll focus on establishing a rock solid groove to make the thumb part second nature, then we’ll work through my original song “Big Bill’s Goodtime Groove”

Level: Intermediate-Advanced (some fingerpicking experience useful)
